Today
Iskander parted with his balls. He will now be a even
bigger soppy couch potatoe than he already was. And
hopefully will stay with us that way many more years.

Today
the Breed Club show of Neocat was held.
Chenoa
won her second CAP.
Baileys
his last CAPIB, so he now is a
International
Premior also.
He also won BIV.
Jarod
became Best of Honour Class in the Shorthair division.
Qelvinn
won Excellent 1 and was BIS BSH male kitten 3-6 months.
And
last but definitely not least CC won her Excellent 1,
became BIV (Best Selkirk Rex) and won BIS female
kitten 6-10 months 'Other Breeds'.
A
very good day for the cats!!!

The
long dreaded moment was finally there. Paco was moving.
He
moved all the way to Florianopolis, which is an island
just along the coast of Brazil. Maura and her husband
came to pick him up themselves and Genevičve staid home
to welcome them.
They
were visiting relatives in Europe, so a small detour to
the Netherlands was a small thing. As the already had
a seperate suit case for Paco filled with toys, we are
certain that he will be spoiled rotten and will be treated
like a king.
We
are so going to miss you Paco!!! Who knows maybe we'll
visit one day.
Raymond
in the mean while was at the show in Antwerp (Belgium).
It
was Chenoa's first time back to the show benches since
a long time. She won her first CAP, got a special price
from the judge and was NBIS.
Jarod won his third and therefore
last CACE which made him a European Champion!!! He also was NBIS.
|
| okt 14th 2007 |
Today
is Callista's first birthday. Hoorah!
And
as expected we are at the show in Oud Gastel.
It
was a super day. It seldom happens that the day flies
by.
Madinka
won her second CACIB. Barbara was also there with her
litter sister Meetsi! It was very funny to see both girls
together after all that time. Meetsi won her first CAC
and later on also became BIV !!! Barbara and Meetsi
congratiolations!!!
Cassie
won a 'special price Honour Cllass' after a lot of hassle.
Something had gone wrong with the organisation and the
judging of the Honour Class did not go as it should. But
we think they've handled it great and we even got a cup
for 'Honour Class' home.
Jarod
won his second CACE and was NBIS, which he lost
from a gorgeous Bengal (who later on went to become BOB
SH).
Baileys
won his second CAPIB and became BIS male neuter BSH.
What was even more fun.... from the 8 BIS cats (and even
the BOB), 6 came from our ring and all owners were sitting
a the same table with us. We threw quite a party in our
ring!
Girls,
same show next year???

As
we were travelling all the way to Velbert (Germany) for
a catshow, we left home on friday evening and checked
into a hotel which was 15 minutes away from the show hall.
It was definitely worth our while (the hotel and the show).
Baileys
won his first CAPIB, Madinka her first CACIB and became
BIV of all Bicolors her judge had seen that day.
Jarod won his first CACE and became Rassesieger
(Best Selkirk Rex) and was NBIS.
We
were very impressed by the show cages there. They where
70x70x70 (cm's off course) in size. We had 4 cages and
the 2 cages next to us where empty. It ment that we had
4,2 meters of space to settle in. It was so luxurious!

| sep 23 2007 |
The
NVVK-show in Dordrecht.
Baileys won his
last CAP, so he now also is a neuter champion (Premior) and also was NBIS.
Madinka got her
last CAC and that makes her a Champioen now.
It
was Qelvinn's first show being only 14,5 weeks old, and
he won Exc1 and was NBIS.
Unfortunately
like the years before the cats we very impressed by the
running kids on the balcony above the rings where we were
seated. This resultet in a trip to the night GP for Genevičve
because a kitten from a friend freaked up and tried to
escape her grip by biting and scratching her. It wasn't
the kittens fault, it were those damn running kids. So
after the visit to the GP Geneviève had a tetanus
shot and antibiotics as a bonus to the show day. The owner
had to undergo the same. We hope that next year the organisation
will be stricter about the children running around at
a show or that the parents will keep their children in
line. A cat show is NOT a playground!!!

Qiannah
(Lizzie) is moving to Hilversum today. The night before
Louie (a Main Coon kitten) moved in. We hope that they will
be very happy together with Arshia and Daniël. Arshia has
her own weblog, so every now and then we'll be able to read
about the adventures of Lizzie and Louie there.
|
| sep 8th 2007 |
We
are very happy that Quentin is moving out to a stone throw
away. He stays in Spijkenisse and will be living with Marinanne,
Dave and Foxy. |
| sep 7th 2007 |
Today
Quincy (Boedha) moved to Hellevoetsluis. He's going to live
their in the company of Snowy and two guinee pigs. He always
has been a vocal baby, so it's going to be very quiet now.
Snowy thought he was scary at first, but they became friends
quite easily after that. |
| sep 3rd 2007 |
The
Q babies got their last shot and chip today. Just a few
more days and they will be moving also. |
| sep 2nd 2007 |
The NKU-SARA show in Rotterdam. We
collected all title points we needed. Jarod now is a Great International Champion.

the complete results we refer to: Showresults 2007

Early
in the morning to Heinenoord.
Ambarān
got tested for HCM for the sixth time and Dilayla for
the second time.
With
them everything was also okay.
Today
Prue (renamed Lilo) moved to the Steen family in Beverwijk.
And
again it's a lot quieter in the house. Prue just loves
to cuddle, so we are definitely going to miss her.
We're
glad that Paco is still staying with us a little while
longer.

| aug 26 2007 |
The
new show season starts today. We travelled to St. Job
i/h Goor in Belgium.
Orissa
got a nice judge's report with Exc 2.
Madinka
won her first CAC.
Jarod
his second CAGCI and became BIV
(Best Selkirk Rex) over
10 cats.
It
was Baileys first time on the show bench after he left
his balls at the vet and he won his first CAP and became
BIV and BIS.
A
great start of our show season!!!
|
| aug 21 2007 |
Chenoa
and her son Iskander have been tested again for HCM (Iskander
also for PKD). All okay. |
| aug 15 2007 |
Today
the Q-babies had their first shot. Wow, how time
flies!!! Before we know it they will be leaving the nest
also. |
|
aug 14 2007 |
You'd
think that you'd get used to kittens moving after all these
years. Well, NOT! Eventhough we've spread them moving. Today
Bo (Piper) moved to Hardinxveld-Giessendam. She made friends
with the girls already living there real soon (a British
Longhair and Ragdoll) and acts like she never lived some
where else. Bye sweet baby! |
| aug 11 2007 |
It was quite exciting, the tripp might
needed to be cancelled because of the footh and mouth
brake outs in the UK. So we were keeping our fingers crossed....
luckily the ban on shipping (domestic) animals was cancelled.
So around 5.45 a.m. we were in the car to Calais. The
crossing with the train went smoothly and before we knew
it we were driving to the east of England (which was also
about three hours). We were so happy to finally see Ollie
(Liam) again and wow he has grown so much!!! He's almost
surpassing his sire Baileys in size already so it's promising
for the future. We were also very happy to see Stefen
and Claire again. We were very lucky because Stef was
celebrating his birthday. So after a round along all their
pets we settled down in the sunlight garden with the other
guests. Most important was off course that we finally
were able to take CC (Cleverclogs) in our arms. We did
not wait for her as long as Stefan and Claire had to wait
for Ollie (about 7 months), but she was worth every second
of the 4,5 month we had to wait. What gorgeous other kittens
they had! We tried to sneak some extra ones in the travel
crate, but when Ollie settled down in there, there just
wasn't any room left. He probably thought he was going
back to his mom and dad with us. Unfortunately we couldn't
leave our cats alone another day so we had to travel back
home the same day. Else we'd definitely would have staid
longer. Around 0.15 a.m.
we were back home.
Claire and Stef, thanks a million
for this wonderful and sweet girl. We love her to bits
already. And thanks for taking such good care of Ollie, we
hope he's everything you dreamed he'd be. Till next
time!!! |
| aug 10 2007 |
Madinka
en Lola had their first test on HCM today. All was okay.
They
were also tested on PKD (negative off course).
Also
today Sylvester (Orestes) moved. He spent a long time
searching for his mommy(s), but settled down real soon
after that.

| aug 5th 2007 |
Pffff. Number three that's moving out. We're glad
that a few of them are staying with us a while longer. That
way we can get used to them moving out slowly. Pippin is
moved to the pittoresque Erichem. Meeting the gorgeous Burbul
Noa was not what he'd expected it to be. But, we can imagine
that when you are chilling in your travel crate and suddenly
see a big dog face in front of the door you would start
to hiss and grawl. Noa staid outside the house enjoying
the sun while Pippin searched through his new house. Noa's
sleeping spot was soon to be concurred by Pippin (as expected).
Bye cheeky little fellow. Will you send us a card when you
travel abroad.? |
| aug 4th 2007 |
Number two that's moving out. Paige went to go
and live with Anja, Leon en Izzy in Eindhoven. Meeting Izzy
for the first time went very well and Paige had found a
nice spot on the couch soon. There she dropped down for
a nap purring her head of after a good expedition around
the house. Unfortunately she thought it was necessary to
walk us to the door on our way out and miauwed 'where are
you going to?'. This made it even harder for us not to take
her back home with us. Bye sweet girl, you will become very
big friends with Izzy. |

3rd 2007 |
We
have a busy day scheduled so we're out and about ealy
in the morning.
First we take Daisy (8 years) and Baileys (5 years)
to Heinenoord for their HCM test. It was Daisy's fifth
time. But it's still nervewrecking. And because Daisy
was neutered in 2005, we since then only test her every
two years. For Baileys this was the fourth test. Baileys
was neutered in march this year so we will continue to
test him every two years. Everything was ok.
Later in the day we travelled to Zeist for Quandor's
hearing test. White cats have a higher chance of being deaf.
He was chipped at the same time and was really tough about
it. Hi's hearing is a 100% ok, so if he's not listening
he's just playing deaf. |
| aug 2nd 2007 |
Today the first kitten moved to their
new owners. This still is a weird experience even after
all these years. Time flew like always. And eventhough they
were with a lot of them, things are still quieting down
in the house. Paavel now lives with his servants (Klok family)
in Rozenburg. Bye mister Prrrr, we are going to miss your
hair washing moments a lot!!! |
| jul 29th 2007 |
Visitors from Germany!!! Conny and Ellen visited the
Snowball and Kali babies and took Gudrun, Ralf, Astrid,

A
very nice, but busy day at the Neocat-show in Utrecht.
Iskander
