Callista Callista
was born in cattery Eek A Mouse of Anna Wijbrands. Callista is a daughter to
her Nina and our Iskander. When Anna brought Nina over for the mating we
were so impressed by Nina's sweet personality and short coat that we really
wanted a girl back from this mating. Next to Nina's great personality and
fur her lines were also completely non related to ours.
Anna thanks so much for
giving us the opportunity to continue our silver/golden tabby breedings by
letting us have Callista!!
Callista definitely has
the sweet natures of both her parents. Her hobbies are purring and sitting
on your lap (even when it's not confinient). Cuddling is a third hobby of
her.
She unfortunately
doesn't have the bold British Shorthair appereance of her father (that's
why we will not bring her to the show benches), but her coat definitely is
an improvement. Callista's litter brothers and sister are two blue silver tabbies
and a black golden tabby. So it's possible that she carries the silver gene
only one time (and therefore probably can give golden kittens) and that she
carries the dilution gene.
Health
Callista's
parents (Nina en Iskander) have been tested for HCM several times. And they
were tested for PKD (negative). Callista's test results you can find below,
she will be tested yearly from now on.
